Per chi predilige percorsi in bicicletta ci sono le ciclabili che costeggiano il Mincio, salgono lungo le colline vicino a Ponti sino a raggiungere il Monte Casale, teatro di un memorabile scontro che molti individuano come l’ultima battaglia della seconda guerra mondiale essendosi svolta il 30 Aprile 1945 ben 5 giorni dalla fine ufficiale del conflitto.
Una lapide posta sulla sommità del colle ricorda l’evento, si può raggiungere a piedi con una breve passeggiata e vi si gode un’ottima vista. Monte Casale, per la bellezza del paesaggio, è una delle mete preferite anche dagli abitanti del luogo e dei comuni vicini.

Notevole parte del territorio comunale è inclusa nel Parco Naturale del Mincio; esiste un percorso ciclabile che partendo proprio da Ponti conduce sino a Mantova, costeggiando il fiume a volte addentrandosi in alcuni borghi medioevali e in splendide corti rurali che si incontrano lungo il tragitto. Si tratta di un percorso davvero suggestivo, alla portata di tutti e che privilegia strade interne non trafficate.

CYCLING
For those who like cycling the are bicycle paths which hug the coast of the river Mincio. These paths go up along the hills near Ponti until they reach Monte Casale. The latter is the sceme of a memorable conflict known as the last battle of the Second World War as it took place on the 30th of April 1945, 5 days before the official end of the war. A tombstone has been placed on the top of the hill as remembrance of this event, it is possible to get to this tombstone by walking a little and once there the walk is rewarded by and amazing view. Due to the view, Monte Casale is the destination most preferred by people who live thereabout.
Most of the communal territory is included in Parco Naturale del Mincio; there is a bicycle path that starts in Ponti and ends in Mantua, hugging the coast of the river the path sometime goes into medival villages and into wonderful rural courts that it finds along its way. It’s a very suggestive route, easy for everyone to attend and that goes through non busy routes.
